A Chinese Monochrome White-Glazed Porcelain Vase with Archaic Dragon Motif and Incised Mark
Worldwide shipping included
────────────────
A Chinese monochrome white-glazed porcelain vase decorated with an intricate archaic-style dragon motif in low relief. The vase features a smooth, glossy white glaze that highlights the raised geometric and stylized dragon patterns encircling the body. A band of applied beading runs around the shoulder, adding subtle texture and visual depth. Finely modeled openwork handles flank the sides, echoing traditional archaic forms. The tall neck is encircled with key-fret and mask-like decorative borders, complementing the elaborate design of the main body. The foot and rim are similarly adorned with repeating geometric patterns, creating a cohesive and harmonious aesthetic. The base bears an incised seal mark, impressed under the glaze. A well-crafted example with strong decorative presence and crisp detailing.
Approx. 19.5 cm in height
Overall excellent condition with appropriate age-related wear. No chips or repairs. A faint line in the glaze near the base appears to be from the glazing process rather than a crack. Please see all photos for condition.
