A Chinese Porcelain Flambé-Glazed Vase in Oxblood and Purple, with Kangxi Reign Mark
Worldwide shipping included
────────────────
A Chinese porcelain vase of baluster form, rising to a slender neck with a gently flared rim. The vessel is finished in a flambé glaze, with red tones transitioning into areas of purple and bluish hues toward the lower body, with natural tonal variation across the surface.
The rim and mouth are glazed in a soft creamy white, with an oxblood splash visible to the interior. Fine crackle is present throughout the glaze. The recessed base is unglazed at the foot rim and bears a six-character blue underglaze Kangxi reign mark within a double circle.
Approx. 19.5 cm height
In overall good condition. A fine glaze line is visible to the interior of the base. Minor kiln-related glaze irregularities, including small pinholes, are present and consistent with the flambé glaze. Please refer to photographs for further details.
