A small, finely carved Chinese jade dragon pendant, worked from translucent pale celadon jade with natural russet inclusions. The russet tones gather along the carved recesses and edges, creating a beautiful contrast between soft green tones and warm, iron-rich accents.
The sinuous dragon is rendered in a compact S-shaped form with rounded contours and well-defined details that are skillfully executed despite the modest scale. One side is slightly concave, indicating deliberate shaping rather than a flat plaque construction.
